For Professionals

Despite their prevalence, eating disorders remain poorly understood and many clinical professionals receive little training on prevention, assessment, and treatment. Working with an eating disorder specialist can help fill in knowledge gaps and enhance skills for those working with this population.

Consultation

As an iaedp-Approved Consultant (CEDS-C), I provide supervision to licensed providers who are working toward Certification as an Eating Disorder Specialist (CEDS). Learn more about the requirements of consultation and certification here. Consultation can be in an individual or group format.

I also offered one-time and ongoing consultation to anyone working with eating disorder cases who would like additional guidance and expertise. Consultation is not considered supervision for provisionally licensed clinicians.

I request a brief, 10 minute phone conversation prior to scheduling to ensure that I am a good fit for your needs.

When is seeking professional consultation a good idea?

  • When you are feeling stuck with a client who has an eating disorder
  • When you need assistance in recommending the right level of care for your client with an eating disorder
  • When your client’s condition, or comments about food, weight, or exercise elicit strong feelings in you
  • When you are interested in expanding your practice to include eating disorder work
