As both a social worker and a yoga teacher, I believe that connection with the body holds great promise for healing. I have worked in the social service field for over ten years, and I’ve taught yoga for 15 years. Before moving to private practice, I worked in a college counseling center and an eating disorder clinic, where I worked with people across multiple levels of care. I have been a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist since 2021.
I specialize in working with people with eating disorders, but I welcome anyone who is wanting to work through a difficult relationship with their body, maladaptive perfectionism, trauma, anxiety, over-control, and a range of other issues. I will help you build self-compassion, and learn to work with your body, rather than against it.
My expertise, paired with a patient, psychodynamic approach, has broad benefits for many clients’ concerns. We can move at a pace that works for you while we uncover the roots of these issues. I work from a weight-inclusive and LGBTQ+ affirming perspective.
I am a member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW), the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals (iaedp) and the Eating Disorder Task Force of Indiana (EDFTI).
